Zachary Matthew Gutierrez

Zachary Matthew Gutierrez, affectionately known as "Gucci," was born on May 26, 2001, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He entered this world with a vibrant personality that drew people to him throughout his life. Zachary’s outgoing and funny nature made an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. He worked many years as a manager at Extra Space Storage.

Tragically, Zachary passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Santa Fe New Mexico. His departure leaves a profound void in the lives of many who loved him dearly.

Zachary was a devoted father to his daughter, Zylah, with whom he shared a cherished relationship. His love for her was immeasurable; she was the center of his world, and he could not imagine his life without her by his side.

An individual of many interests, Zachary enjoyed wrestling, camping, fishing, he loved to make music, and spending time outdoors. He was also an avid skateboarder and BMX rider, embracing every opportunity to engage in activities that allowed him to explore the beauty of the world around him. A faithful believer in God, he practiced prayer and meditation, finding solace and guidance in his faith. Zachary had an appreciation for reading, constantly seeking to broaden his knowledge and perspectives.

He is survived by his loving family, which includes his parents, Matthew and Cecilia, his daughter Zylah; his grandmother Bertha F. Garcia; his grandfather's Gilbert Gutierrez; Reyes Valdez, his brother Zavior; great-grandmother Consuelo Ulibarri; and his sisters Crystal (Alonzo), Savanna, and Amanda (Ramon). Additionally, he is survived by his brothers Matthew and Marcos (Zoey), Aunts Lori (Gabe), Frances (Raul), Maria, Bernadette (Jaime), Lisa, Samantha (Sal) Uncle John, Mira, Nephews, His nephews include Antonio, Mikey, Santiago, Jeramiah, Julez, Noah, Jordan, Ozzy, and Levi, while his nieces are Navaeh, Honestey, and Makayla. He also leaves behind his great-niece Navonia,.and numerous relatives and friends.

Zachary was preceded in death by Great-grandmother Lena Orioste, his grandfather's Zeke Perea and Octaviano Ulibarri, and his Grandmothers Minnie Montoya (Joe) and Elizabeth Inez Connors. He is also preceded by his uncle Simon Trujillo, cousins Miguel Villegas, and Lupita Trujillo-Garcia, both of whom will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

A visitation and funeral service to honor Zachary will be held on July 11, 2025, at Grace Community Church, located at 2247 Camino Carlos Rey, Santa Fe, NM. The visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Zachary Matthew Gutierrez's spirit will remain a guiding light to all who knew him. His laughter, love, and zest for life will be remembered and celebrated eternally by those he touched with his kindness and warmth, will be missed dearly and always be forever in our hearts.
