Yvonne Perea

Yvonne Perea, born on Sept 20, 1935, in Cerrillos, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. Yvonne was a devoted wife and a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was best known around Cerrillos for telling stories of the old days of growing up in Cerrillos and Madrid and her cooking, especially around Cerrillos Fiesta’s. She loved doing embroidery. Her love for her family, friends and Cerrillos had no bounds, but she was a force to be reckoned with.

Yvonne is proceeded in death by her husband of 59 years, Oliver Perea and her Grandson Patrick Perea Jr. She is survived by her 7 children: Dorothy (Patrick), Debbie (Chris), Ted, Robert (Margaret), Pat, Diane (Ron) and Tina. She was blessed with 21 Grandchildren: Shaun, Elijah (Sommer), Patrick (Sarah), Jason (Chantel), Rebekah (Joel), Christopher (Kaila), Bobby (Katey), Diego, Ana, Patrick, Adrian, Samantha (Doug), Gregory & Alex (Aleena). 24-Great-Grandchildren: Tristen, Justis, Addison, Owen, Madison, Teagan, Aubrey, Miguel, Olivia, Mason, Mia, Morgan, Kasch, Alicia, Gabriela, Cypress, Payton, Zeke, Cristian, Zoie, Isla, JJ, Oliver & Indiana.

She will be forever in our hearts and missed greatly, we know she is with Oliver and Patrick Jr. She will be laid to rest with Oliver at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Turquoise Trail Volunteer Fire Department in her name.
