Willie J. Valencia, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2025, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Born on July 27, 1953, in Pecos, New Mexico, Willie was known for his infectious humor and lovable nature, bringing joy to all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A proud veteran, Willie served honorably in the Army, embodying the values of duty and service that so many admire. His commitment to everything he did, touching the lives of those around him with a warm smile and a ready laugh.

Willie is survived by his son, William Valencia, and a caring family including his siblings: Bernadette Briones, Rodrick Valencia, Patricia March, Joseph Valencia, Georgia Urban, Elena Valencia, Geraldine Sandoval, Ursula Velasquez, and John Valencia. Each of them carries forward the legacy of love and laughter that Willie instilled in their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Agapito and Antonia Valencia, and his son, Almanzo Valencia. Willie also mourns the loss of his life partner, Lucille Gallegos, and his siblings Lucinda and Michael Valencia.
