William James Hudson, 63, passed away in his home in Angel Fire, New Mexico, on February 5, 2015.Hudson was born and reared in Los Alamos and graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1969. He was on a state championship swim team and was the first swimmer to earn five varsity letters in that sport. After graduation he joined the United States Navy and served a four year term on several ships that took him all over the world. Upon discharge he enrolled at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, and majored in industrial arts and building trades. After graduation he went into the construction business and formed Bill Hudson Builders, a company he ran for many years which was located in Angel Fire. Bill was an outdoor sportsman and expert Telemark skier. He cherished his many friends. Hudson is survived by his wife Carolyn from Angel Fire; father, William A. Hudson from Los Alamos; brother, Art from Los Alamos; sister, Jan Parker and husband Ken from British Columbia, Canada; brother Ty Hudson and wife Deb from Rio Rancho; and nephew Nathan from Houston, Texas. A potluck memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11 AM at his residence located at #26 Agua Road in Angel Fire, New Mexico.
