Vincent Francis Nasca

September 28, 1950 - August 21, 2026

Vincent Nasca, longtime resident of Nambe, passed away August 21, 2026 surrounded by love. He was born in San Francisco, CA to Helen and Vinicio Nasca and grew up in Falls Church Virginia as the oldest of four brothers whom he loved very much. Growing up, he had many adventures with his brothers, he was an excellent baseball player and swimmer. He attended and graduated from Bishop O Connell High School. He moved to New Mexico at the age of 18 to attend The College of Santa Fe, where he met the love of his life, MariaElena Romero. A beautiful love story that began the adventure of a lifetime. Vince became the Captain of the Santa Fe Police Department and held such pride in the work he did serving the community. His role in this position is legendary, he is honored and respected by many. After his retirement from the Santa Fe Police Department, Vince dedicated many years to the Pojoaque and Espanola Valley school districts, the Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe del Valle de Pojoaque Parish, continuing to support the community and building wonderful relationships with all who crossed his path. His 6’3” stature was no comparison to his heart of gold. Those that knew him, adored him. In his opinion, the greatest accomplishments of his life were marrying his wife Nena and the day his daughter Amelia was born. Vince’s family was one of his greatest joys, he was so incredibly proud to be a father and grandfather, having a tremendous infl uence in the lives of his daughter Amelia, son-in-law Matthew, and his three grandsons Dominic, Darius, and Jaden. His love for his family was unwavering. From the years of lovingly caring for his wife Nena, to the consistent presence and guidance in all their lives, his family knew undoubtingly that they were loved.

In the last few months of his life, he was surrounded with family, this became the best summer of our lives. The example he continued to show of faith and gratitude was remarkable. His family is eternally grateful for the time they were granted, the foundation of faith that he instilled, and the inspiration he brought into their lives.

Vincent will be remembered for his strong moral compass, integrity, and unconditional love. He was a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and brother. There is no way to fi ll this tremendous loss, but we fi nd hope that he is reunited with his wife in heaven. Vincent is survived by his daughter(Amelia), son-in-law (Matthew), grandsons (Dominic, Darius, Jaden), his brothers(David, Tom), and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank his medical team, the incredible doctors and nurses that supported his journey and blessed us with years of memories. Thank you to the friends that became family, always showing up, you meant so much to him, you were all a true blessing.

Services will be held September 14, 2026 at the Sacred Heart Church in Nambe, 192 NM 503, Santa Fe NM at 10:00am (rosary, mass, burial).
