Vanessa “Nessa” Piñon, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, nana, and friend, passed away suddenly on July 2, 2026.

Full of life and deeply cherished by all who knew her, Vanessa brought immense joy to those around her. She had a radiant smile and gave the biggest, warmest hugs. A dedicated single mother of four, she worked hard throughout her life, spending years in the retail industry across Santa Fe. Through her work, she built enduring friendships, welcoming everyone with open arms and treating coworkers and customers alike like family.

Loyal, fierce in her beliefs, and steadfast in her support for others, Vanessa loved fiercely. Her favorite pastimes included listening to music, gathering with family, watching scary movies, and treating herself to a fresh set of nails.

Vanessa’s legacy of love, strength, and hospitality will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Vanessa is survived by her loving parents, Natividad and Corrina Piñon; her siblings, Maria L. Lucero (Carlos), Fabian Piñon (Alisha), and Ommar Piñon (Angela); and her beloved daughters, Anahi Piñon (Josh), Mya Piñon, and Julianna Piñon.

She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Iyanna, as well as her nieces and nephews: Carlos (Jordan), Marcos (Dominique), Aliyah (Carlos), Meyah, Ommar Jr., Jayla, and Miqualynn, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A funeral mass will be held for Vanessa at 10:00 AM on July 22nd, 2026, at St. Anne's Parish, located at 511 Alicia Street, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501.
