Tony D. Martinez

Tony D. Martinez – Born October 23rd, 1937, and Departed this life on May 18, 2025.

Tony was born & raised in the Community of Guachupanque. Tony was born to Josephine Garcia Martinez & Tony Martinez Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda Dodson Martinez, mother Josephine Garcia Martinez, Father Tony Martinez Sr., Brothers Joe Martinez, Orlando Martinz & wife Josephine, Ross Martinez & wife Flora and sisters Stella Rael, Isabel Martinez. Tony is survived by daughter Jodi Truitt and husband Charlie, David McDuff and wife Lavon, grandson Dustin Truitt and wife Jessie, Bobby Truitt and wife Josephine, Brian Truitt and wife Jessica. Great grandchildren Eugene, Anna, Nicholas, Emmett, Scarlett and Violett and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tony started a plumbing business with his dad and worked with him for 50 years. Then he worked for other plumbing companies till he retired at the age of 82. Tony was a New York Yankee’s fan and UNM Lobo fan. He enjoyed Traveling, watching old western movies, And his breakfast burritos with extra, extra hot chili from Horseman’s Haven.

Tony will be missed by all that knew him. He was a great husband, Father, Uncle and a great friend.

Services will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home located at 417 East Rodeo Rd. on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 1:00 Rosary, 2:00 Church Service and 3:00 Burial. Reception to follow at Nancy Rodriguez Community Center located at #1 Prairie Dog Loop, Santa Fe, NM 87507.
