Thomas "Tom" Jude Garcia

Thomas “Tom” Jude Garcia, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away suddenly on September 8, 2026, at the age of 55. Tom was born in Santa Fe on September 21, 1970.

Tom was a well-known and unforgettable presence to all who knew him. He had a big personality, a bigger heart, and was never short on something to say. Tom was a true talker who could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, and his stories, humor, and friendship will be deeply missed.

Throughout his life, Tom had a passion for motorcycles and race cars. He loved the excitement, the camaraderie, and the friendships that came with those passions. Whether he was talking about cars, motorcycles, racing, or simply sharing a story, Tom had a way of bringing people together and making lasting memories.

Tom is survived by his loving mother, Tessie Garcia; brothers Raymond Robert (Brenda), Steve, Pat (Valerie), and Andy; sisters Jackie (Shane) and Dorothy (Ray); and his companion, Annie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Garcia, and his niece, Ashley Garcia.

Tom was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. He leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews, 8 great-nieces and great-nephews, and 2 great-great-niece and great-great-nephew, along with numerous cousins and dear friends who will miss him dearly.

Tom will be remembered for his love of motorcycles and racing, his unmistakable personality, his gift for conversation, and the many friendships and memories he created throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
