In Loving Memory of Thomas M. Garcia

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Garcia, who left us peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the age of 71.

Thomas was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and a treasured member of our community. Born on August 29, 1953, in Loma Linda, CA, he attended school in Redlands, CA and was involved in athletics and loved playing and watching football. He was part of the 1968 CBL champions ‘Bee” football team for Redlands High School.

Throughout his life, Thomas had a passion for music, including singing and playing the guitar. He was involved in a high school band with his brother Tony and later traveled to Korea to sing worship with his church. His love and talent for music was present throughout his life and has been passed down throughout his family.

Thomas loved his family deeply and would always call to check in on them. He enjoyed sharing stories and giving wisdom to those he loved.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife Irene Garcia, of Taos, sons Brian Garcia (Arlene), Colton, CA, Steven Garcia (Deanna), Las Vegas, NV, Andrew Garcia (Katherine) Taos, Richard Mondragon, Albuquerque, loving daughter Jeretha Morfin (Steve) Taos, sisters Nancy Boeger, Cathy Kevari, Patricia Jackson, Betty Keeling, Carole Miller, Laura Beighey, Monica Hally, two brothers, Ernie Garica and Tim Garcia. Thomas was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Cecilia Garcia, brother Anthony Garcia, sister Sally Lucero, and his beloved grandparents Candelario and Lorenza Garcia.

A memorial service will be held on June 21, 2025, at 1 pm at Taos Valley Baptist Church.

We will forever cherish the moments we shared with Thomas and hold his memory close to our hearts.
