Terry Cervantes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Cervantes, who peacefully departed this world on August 17, 2025, at the age of 73.

Terry is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pete S. and Dora Chavez; her brothers Andy, Edward, and Bobby; and in-laws Bobby Sanchez, Ramona Chavez, and Gerald Turner.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Carla and Antonia and husband Aaron; her grandchildren, Aaliyah, Isaiah, Andrew, and Aliyana; and her siblings: Rosina, Francis and husband Fidel, Henry, Gilbert, Rose, Deborah and husband Ruben, MaryJo, John Paul, Patricia and husband Steve. Terry also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her deeply.

Terry was beautiful, charismatic, and full of life. She brought laughter and joy to everyone she met. Her warm presence earned her countless hitas and hitos—terms of endearment that reflect the deep affection so many felt for her. She treasured her family and was devoted to her daughters, grandchildren, and extended family. No matter the circumstances, Terry was always there for them—never turning her back, always offering support, love, and a listening ear. She had a passion for singing, dancing, and laughter. Her laugh was infectious and her energy unforgettable. Terry also had a special fondness for pandas, a small reflection of the warmth and joy she carried with her.

A hardworking and dedicated woman, Terry spent 36 years in the hotel industry as an Executive Housekeeper. She then transitioned to Christus St. Vincent’s Hospital, where she served in the Food and Nutrition Department for 20 years. She loved connecting with her coworkers, patients, and their families—treating them with compassion, warmth, and kindness. Her coworkers became a second family to her, and she often spoke fondly of them, especially her best friend, Diane.

Terry leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, laughter, and compassion. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Rosary will be recited Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Rivera's Kiva Chapel of Light 417 Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cristo Rey Catholic Church 1120 Canyon Rd., Santa Fe, NM with Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery 417 Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM.
