Susie Montano

Susie Montaño, 84, of Taos passed away on April 30, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clorinda Gonzales, daughter, Gloria Martinez, son, Sonny Nichols, grandsons, Kevin Nichols, John Ted Gonzales and great grand-son, Baby James Salazar, daughter in-law, Jane Valencia, parents in-law, Ino and Cora Montaño, sister, Ernestine Cardenas (Ray), brother in-law, Gilbert Montaño, and his daughter, Lisa and nephew, James Vigil. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Adonais Montaño, children, John Gonzales (Teddie), Frank Nichols (Jenifer), Gerald Nichols (Louella), Linda Vigil (Paul), Mario Montaño (Noshoni) and Eleanor Montaño, 36 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; brother, Frank Gonzales (Gloria), Robert Gonzales (Elena), brother in-law, John Montaño (Elaine), sister in-law, Tillie Montaño, son in-law, Mike Maggie Martinez (Sandy), daughter in-law, Liz Medina (Mike), Cecilia Quintana, who was like a daughter; very special friends, Juanita and Bernabe Salazar, Sally and Ben Gonzales, Annabelle and Albino Fresquez, Anita Salazar, Polly Varos, Imelda and Henry Jeantete, Patsy Sisco Salazar, many precious nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on May 3, 2015 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral mass was held on May 4, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment was held at the Sierra Vista Cemetery.
