Stephen James Giron "Steve"

We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Stephen on May 27, 2025, after an extremely difficult 20-year struggle with mental illness. Stephen was a caring son, brother and uncle and his family meant everything to him. He was a good friend to many throughout his lifetime. He will be deeply missed by all.

Stephen is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, John & Corine Montoya, Thomas Giron and uncles, Richard Giron and Joseph Giron. Stephen is survived by his parents, David Giron & Laurie Farris, his stepfather, Melvin Farris, sister Deborah Giron, and brothers, Kevin Giron, Bo Farris, Dominick Farris (Carly), Ian Farris (Charlene & son Riley), and his three beautiful nieces, Sierra Quintana, Everly Farris, and June Farris, his grandmother, Isabel Giron, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who all loved Stephen dearly.

Stephen was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He attended Pinon & Kearny Elementary, DeVargas Junior High School, Santa Fe High School and Dunedin High School in Florida. He enjoyed playing sports, with a love for baseball, and was a very talented catcher. Stephen played for the Santa Fe High Demons and the All-Star Team. Stephen went on to learn the jewelry trade from his father and became an excellent Goldsmith and Silversmith. He created many beautiful pieces of jewelry.

 Although our family is devastated, we find comfort in knowing Stephen is finally at peace and with our Dear Lord in Heaven. We will never forget the happy times, smiles, and laughter we shared with Stephen. We will keep his memory alive by honoring the good times of his life and forever cherish every minute spent with him. We look forward to the day we reunite in heaven. May you rest in peace our beloved Stephen.

His Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Christian Life, 121 Siringo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505. Reception to follow @ Grace Community Church, 2247 Camino Carlos Rey, Santa Fe, NM 87507.
