Solomon Gentry

Solomon Gentry, age 67 of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away on February 14, 2016. He was born September 27, 1948 in Watrous, New Mexico to Milton and Isa Gentry. He worked for 40 years as a salesman for different local Santa Fe businesses, until his retirement. During his employment, he made many acquaintances and friends whom he enjoyed talking to. He also enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting and planting his garden. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents: Isa and Milton Gentry; sister, Jane Gentry; godson: Derrek Gentry; father-in-law: Joe Martinez; mother-in-law: Stella Martinez; brother-in-law: Joe Martinez. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gentry, his daughter, Lynnette Martinez and husband Marcos of Los Lunas, NM, his son Jason Gentry of Las Cruces, NM, and grandson Michael Martinez of Los Lunas, NM, his brother Kenneth Gentry and wife Gloria of Albuquerque, NM, sister-in-laws: Umelia Martinez of Santa Fe, NM, Irene Rosasco and husband Tony of Albuquerque, NM, and Gloria of Las Vegas, NM: brother-in-law: Peter Martinez and wife Carmen of Las Vegas, NM. He also had many nieces and nephews. Rosary service will be held on Saturday, February 20th at 3:00pm at the Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Friends and family are requested to join the family for a reception following the service at the Gentry residence, 22 San Pedro Way, Santa Fe, NM 87508. Burial is to take place at a later date.
