Senaida Ruybali Hall passed away peacefully at her home in Española, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 93. Born in Dulce, New Mexico, Senaida led a life rich with adventure and kindness. She shared 26 wonderful years with her husband, Albert, raising their family and making cherished memories in Wisconsin before returning to Española in 1977. After Albert’s passing, Senaida dedicated 22 years of service to Northern New Mexico Community College and was a proud member of the Española Hospital Auxiliary, serving as a “Pink Lady” for 15 years.
Senaida was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Dolores Ruybali; her husband, Albert; her son, David; daughter-in-law, Pam Hall; brothers, Joe and James Ruybali; sisters, Irene R. Vigil and Florence Maez; brothers-in-law, Ernesto “Tito” Vigil, John L. Garcia, Joseph Pippin; and sister-in-law, Sophie Ruybali.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald and Michael Hall; daughter, Lisa Duran (Joseph Gomez); grandchildren, Michael W. Hall (Breck), Amanda Huse (Derrick), David Albert Hall (Maria), Gregory Hall (Sarah), Randy Hall, Amy Duran (Anthony), and Robin Martinez (James); ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one more on the way. Senaida is also survived by her sisters, Lorry Pippin and Mildred Garcia; brother-in-law, James Maez; sisters-in-law, Jackie Ruybali and Sally Anderson; and many extended family members.
A gifted artist and avid collector, Senaida generously shared her creations and stories with everyone she met. Her radiant smile and gentle warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
