July 15, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. Viewing and rosary will be held at Rivera's Family Funeral Home, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, N.M.

July 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Funeral mass at St. Ann's Church, followed by reception at the Parish Hall, at 511 Alicia Street Santa N.M., catered by the VFW Post 2951 Auxiliary. Burial will follow at the SF National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., with full Military Honors.

Mother Theresa said, "DEATH IS NOTHING ELSE BUT GOING HOME TO GOD."

Seferino Isidro Valencia, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away home on July 3, 2025, after a long illness. He was born in Pecos to Pablo Valencia and Sixta Lopez Valencia on May 15, 1942. He served in the United States Army from 1960-1963.

He is survived by his wife Josephine Vigil Valencia, his daughters, Cindy Chavez (Mark), and Frances Valencia, sons, Andrew (Angela) and Greg, grandchildren, Tamara (Marcus), Sebastian (Amanda), Damion (Zoey), Marcus (Danielle), Christopher (Tabetha), and Joshua, great grandchildren, Marcus, "my little girl" Mikayla, Asher, Alyssa, Symphany, Aleina, Evangeline, Donna Marie, Nova, and Ellias. He is also survived by two sisters, Monica Valencia, and Polly Armijo, two brothers, Louis (Teresa), Eugene (Anna), beloved sisters-in-law, Linda Aitken (Alan) and Judy Garcia. He is also survived by many nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death, by his son "Li'! Sef," his parents, Pablo and Sixta, brother, Clemente, sisters, Nicklosa, Tillie, Othelia, Toni, and Dolores.

He was a life member at the VFW Post 2951 in Santa Fe. One of his proudest achievements, besides his family, was as Commander of the Santa Fe American Legion. He, along with his board, were able to acquire the empty building that housed Cordelia's Restaurant, to be the new home of Post 1, Montoya Y Montoya. He loved to race cars, especially his 55 chevy wagon and was one of the best engine builders in Santa Fe vicinity.

The family would like to thank the staff at Roadrunner Hospice, his caretakers, Andrea and Sylvia, for the loving, excellent care they provided.

Honorary pallbearers will be sons Andrew, and Greg Valencia, Grandsons Sebastian Valencia, Marcus and Li'l Marcus Madrid, and Mark Lujan.
