Scott Laine

Scott D. Laine, age 30, passed away unexpectedly and much too soon on Friday, June 12th, just shy of his birthday. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Laine. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cindy and William Ott, his sister, Lindsay Archuleta, his grandfathers, Ben Shepard and Steve Laine, and many other relatives and friends. Born in Dallas, Scott was raised in Taos, and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a business degree alongside his sister. Scott was a brilliant young man. He was a poet, a writer, a musician, a photographer, a chef, an amateur glass blower, a deep thinker, and a loving son and brother. A memorial will be held at the house of his parents, Cindy and William Ott, on July 12th at 1pm. Scott will be sorely missed by all who loved him and all who had the pleasure of being touched by his compassionate, kind soul.
