Sandra Beatriz Miller passed away on October 31, 2026. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Sandra was born in Las Cruces, NM to Louis and Bea Gallegos. She graduated from Santa Fe High and went on to pursue a career in loan originating, where her passion for helping people achieve their dreams truly shined and she was a real-life miracle worker. Sandra had a love for horses which began at a young age growing up on the ranch and later developed a deep love for horse racing after her father was appointed Racing Stewart by the Governor. It was at the Santa Fe Downs where she met jockey Matthew Gurule and together, they had two children Matthew and Rheanna. Later, she married Rick Warden, where she gained three lifelong bonus children. Sandra’s greatest joy and purpose in life was her family. She would tell you being a mother and grandmother was her greatest accomplishment, and she never stopped showing up wholeheartedly for her kids and grandkids. She is the perfect example of the eternal love a parent has for their child and mother who does not give up on her children.

Her faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life, giving her strength through unimaginable heartbreak and life’s greatest challenges. Even in her most difficult moments, she held on tightly to her faith, trusting in God’s plan and the promise of one day being reunited with her beloved son, Matthew. As a lifelong and devoted rodeo fan, Sandra never missed the chance to attend or participate in a rodeo where she served as a committee member or performed with the Sweethearts of Texas and Heart of Texas Cowgirls. She is highly responsible for getting family and friends into horses and all things rodeo. Sandra was a familiar face and a beloved presence in her community, where she built countless friendships throughout her life. She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Known for her gift of gab, warm heart, and willingness to lend a helping hand, Sandra had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a story, or helping someone in need, she gave generously of herself. The friendships she made and the lives she touched are a beautiful reflection of the love she carried for others. Her fondness for sweets mirrored her personality and being a native New Mexican her preference of local chili was always on the spicy side.

Sandra is survived by her daughter Rheanna Gurule & husband Nic Campbell, their daughters Alyssa, Ariana, and Kennedy: stepdaughter Amanda & husband Danny Bratten, and their children Mykenzie, Caitlyn, and Benjamin; stepdaughter Sara & husband Chris Honea and their sons Grady, Riley, and Brady; siblings Edward and Evanne Gallegos, Cynthia and Frank Gallegos, Brian and Becky Gallegos, Brad and Raquel Gallegos, Bruce Gallegos, and Lawrence Gallegos and numerous nieces and nephews.

With special love and gratitude: The family wishes to give special recognition to Evanne, Louis, and Karla for their unwavering devotion to Sandra throughout her final journey. Your love, patience, compassion, and selflessness brought her comfort, dignity, and peace when she needed it most. Their sacrifices and unconditional love will forever be cherished and remembered.
