February 23, 1945 – May 28, 2025

Samuel Pedro Sena of Pecos, New Mexico, went home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2025. He was born February 23, 1945 to Baudilio and MaryAnn Sena. Samuel was always fond of the outdoors and became an avid fisherman. As a young man out of high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and National Guard and served his country for 30 years. It was also during this time that he met his wife Carmen, of 57 years. Samuel enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his keen sense of humor and strong belief that anything is possible. Samuel is survived by his loving wife Carmen; his children, Elaine Lopez and Samuel Sena Junior (Jessie); 5 grandchildren: Ashley Lopez (Stephen), Courtney Mace (Tyler), Lawrence Sena (Melissa), Gabriel Lopez (Bianca), Sawyer; two great grandchildren: Troy & Melody Mace, and his beloved dog Gunner. The family gives a special heartfelt acknowledgment to Mary Louise, Ashley, Courtney, Melissa, Tyler, Paul & Yvonne, and Brian for helping make his last wishes possible. The family sends their sincerest thanks to all who visited and sent prayers in his final days.

Services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Rivera Family Funeral & Cremations, 417 East Rodeo Rd. Santa Fe, NM 87505. Burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, and celebration of life reception will follow. The reception will be held at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center from 2:30 to 4:30.
