Ruth Saiz

84, of Santa Fe, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015. She was born August 31, 1930 in Santa Fe, the daughter of Mary Lujan and Laurel Lucero. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tony Lucero. Ruth retired following 31 years of employment with Wells Fargo Bank. She loved to crochet blankets for her family and enjoyed visiting the casinos whenever she could. Ruth was a loving Mother and Grandmother, and we will miss her smiling face and laughter. She is survived by her two daughters, Christine Engelhard (Guy) of Florida and Kathryn Garcia (Gene) of Santa Fe; granddaughters, Jennie Darden (David) of Florida, and Briana Chacon (Eric) of Albuquerque; grandson, Jace Hallett of Florida; and her five great grandchildren, Logen Aldrich, Connor and Liam Darden, Vanessa and Justin Chacon. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am Friday, May 15th, 2015 at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday. Niche inurnment will follow at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
