Rose Coca

Rose A. Coca passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday March, 13, 2016.Born September 5, 1925 in Cokedale, Colorado to parents Rosendo and Benina Baca. Married to Felix J. Coca, June 30, 1946. She and Felix moved to Santa Fe from Trindad, Colorado in 1947. She was a stay at home mother until her daughters reached school age. Rose then went to work in the Food Industry beginning at the St. Francis Parochial School, Loretto Academy and retiring as Cafeteria Manager at Montgomery Wards. Rose loved her family and help raise several grandchildren. She lived the last 10 years with Alzhiemer’s but this disease did not rob her of her beautiful smile or telling everyone she met, how much she loved them. Rose is survived by 2 daughters Evelyn (Apolpnio) Gonzales, Jean (Harold) Bransford, 3 sisters Nina Moya, Cecilia Dalton, and Leonilla Romero of Denver, 2 brothers, Felix Baca (Kansas) and Edwin Baca (Nebraska). 6 Grandchildren; Michael James, Michelle, Jonathan, Brigida, Zephaniah and Rainbeau, 9 Great-grandchildren; Ashleigh, John Carlos, Inesza, Joseph, Aliyah, Miangel, Alano, Urjiah, and Xzavier. She is preceded in death by her parents Rosendo and Benina Baca, and Brothers Antonio, Gilbert and Leroy Baca. A Visitation will be recited Thursday, March 17, 2016 6-8pm at the Kiva of Light Chapel 417 E. Rodeo Rd Santa Fe, NM 87505. Burial will be Friday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45pm.
