Ron Crespin, beloved father, uncle, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on the morning of May 9, 2026. Ron was born on April 4, 1947, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to Juan and Rita Crespin. He was preceded in death by his beloved children, Taya and Tannin Crespin; his parents, Juan and Rita Crespin; and his sister, Virginia Crespin. Ron dedicated many years of service to the State of New Mexico, retiring after working with agencies such as the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and the New Mexico State Treasurer’s Office. Ron lived life with a rare and beautiful spirit. He never met a stranger and had the gift of making people feel welcome wherever he went. His laughter, warmth, storytelling, and boundless energy left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He carried a true zest for life that could light up a room and lift the hearts of those around him. To his family and friends, Ron was more than loved — he was cherished. To many, he was a steady presence, a joyful soul, and a reminder to embrace life fully. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his humor, his strength, and the way he made people feel seen and valued. The Family would like to extend a very special thank you to Cindy Cordova and Alisha Dominick for all your hard work and dedication over the past nine months. A heartfelt thank you to the Las Soleras staff — Osvaldo, Raylynne, Olivia, Sherri, Marena, Rocio, and Kellie. We are also deeply grateful to Enchanted Hospice, Annalise, Leanna, Sarah, Allison and Yvonne for the compassionate care and support provided to Ron. Without each one of you, this would not have been possible. Thank you all for the kindness, compassion, and wonderful care in you gave Ron during his final days. Your support and dedication will never be forgotten. Those we love never truly leave us. They walk beside us still — in memory, in spirit, and in the love that remains.
