Rob Trujillo passed away of natural causes peacefully at home in Los Alamos March 17, 2026. Born to Michael Trujillo and Kathleen Fitzgibbon, Rob was a lifelong resident of Los Alamos; he graduated from Los Alamos High School and continued his education at the University of New Mexico.
Rob worked in the home improvement retail business for decades and was known to many as “Mr. fix-it,” due to his extended knowledge and experience. Rob also worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
While cherishing his solitude, Rob relished his rare opportunities fishing the rivers and streams of northern New Mexico. He was also a voracious reader and student of the American Civil War and World War II.
Rob firmly believed in giving back to the community, volunteering for Wreaths Across America, the Rotary’s Pancakes on the Plaza, and participating in Walk MS in honoring his grandfather who had Multiple Sclerosis.
Rob was preceded in death by his father, Michael Trujillo; his maternal grandparents, Francis and Nancy Fitzgibbon; his paternal grandfather, Epifanio Trujillo, Sr.; his uncles, Joe and Christopher Fitzgibbon; his aunt, Scotty Fitzgibbon; and cousins, Timothy and Scott Fitzgibbon.Rob is survived by his mother, Kathleen Fitzgibbon of Green Valley, AZ and his brother, Brian Trujillo of Corona de Tucson, AZ.
Rob was a thoughtful and caring man who will be greatly missed. Please see below for service details.
