Robert Ralph Gates

Bob Gates of Taos & Santa Fe passed away on the evening of July 30, 202 after suffering with Parkinson's Disease. 

After leaving the Navy he settled in California and eventually retired from the elevator industry. 

He bought and lived on a sailboat and taught himself the art of sailing, but Taos was calling and he bought the 1st house built on Los Cordova Rd in Ranchos. 

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He leaves behind his loving and grieving wife, Tara, his oldest son Ron (Christie) and younger son Ryan ( Marjorie) and grandchildren; Jordyn, Gianna and Barbara Gates Wagner as well as many dear friends in Taos and Santa Fe. 

He loved his dogs, he is preceded by Stella, Snowball and Pippa, Rosie, Katie, Mia and Butch.

A memorial will be held at a later date, which is under the care of Rivera Family Funeral Home in Santa Fe and Taos.
