Robert (Bobby) James Bustos

With heavy hearts we announce the passing away of Robert James (Bobby) Bustos on May 26, 2025, in Albuquerque, N.M. surrounded by loved ones.

He was born in Las Vegas New Mexico to George and Carolina Bustos on November 13 1948.

He graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 1967.

Robert loved music and was a drummer with local bands there and also in Albuquerque.

Robert was a proud veteran in the United States Army from 1968-1970 and honorably served in the Vietnam War 1969-1970 as a inter speed radio operator delivering supplies on a boat where he remembered being under fire many times.

He is survived by his wife Helen Bustos (Romero) of 57 years, daughter Bobbi (Jason) Rivera, Son Kenny (Kathy) Bustos, Grandsons Kenneth Bustos and Donovan Abeyta, Sisters Pearl (Larry) Camden, Christine (Mark) Apodaca, Elena Garcia, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Reunited in Heaven with His Son Andrew, parents George and Carolina Bustos, Brother Orlando Bustos and other loved ones and Friends.

Robert will be greatly missed and remembered by many for his kind heart and sense of humor.
