Richard Julio Marquez

Richard Julio Marquez, age 39 passed away April 17, 2016. He was born to Helen Alarid and Julio (Richard) Marquez in Oceanside California, February 27, 1977. Richard is preceded in death by his father Julio (Richard) Marquez, grandmother Mary Marquez, grandfather Chris Marquez, grandfather Ralph J. Garcia and uncle Ralph J. Garcia Jr. He is survived by his wife of 9 years Iris Landeros, daughters Mariah Landeros and Miranda Marquez, son Xavier Richard Marquez, mother Helen Alarid, stepfather Anthony Alarid, sisters; Julie Marquez, Priscilla Boltares, Jenelle Marquez, and Malerie Marquez, brothers Anthony Alarid and Adam Alarid and grandmother Manuela Garcia. After graduating high school, Richard served in the U.S. Navy. He later graduated from the radiography program at Northern New Mexico College. He graduated from the Royal Hair Institute in Los Angeles, California. He later owned a successful business; Rich 1’s Barbershop here in Santa Fe. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, warm smile and for being a loving father. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Santa Maria de la Paz Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Maria de la Paz Church.
