Richard Dominguez, born January 14, 1962, to Ramon B. and Criselda Dominguez, passed to eternal life on February 25, 2025, at the family home in Abiquiu. Richard was the middle brother of seven brothers and five sisters, and was a son, Tio, and friend to many others. He was truly a servant of God and was involved in the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Hermano de La Fraternidad Piedosa de Nuestro Jesus Nazareno de la Morada Alto de Abiquiu, a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Santisima Trinidad Council 15787, a member of the San Antonio Society, San Jose Society, Holy Family Society, and a Desert Storm veteran in the Gulf War. Richard was a faithful man and whenever he had a chance to, he would talk to you about God or the Bible. He served his church as a devout Catholic and always prayed for peace. He joined the Army in 1981 and was honorably and medically discharged in 1993. He would’ve made it his career, but the Lord had a different plan for him.
Richard is predeceased by his parents, his brother Ramon (and wife, Maria); sisters Ruth Martinez and Renee Cutter-Espinoza, Tia Lydia Jordan, great nephew Dylan Romero, and other family members too numerous to mention. He is survived by his siblings and their family: Edith (Armando Trujillo), Ralph, Russell (Cemele), Robin, Randy, Rodney (Nancy), Ryan (Jeanette), Rachelle (Christian), brothers-in-law John Espinoza and Marcos Martinez, many cousins, godchildren, and close friends Gilbert “Happy” Lopez and Jerome Medina. In his recent years, he was close to his cousin William Jordan and nephews, Raymon and Ruben, and those he helped with cattle, wood, etc., especially the Joe and Clara Suazo family. Richard, an admirable man, will be missed by many and we know he is in the glory of God with his parents and other family members who went before him. Thanks to his caregivers Paulette Jordan, Ralph, Randy, and Ryan.
Pall bearers to carry Richard to his final resting place: William Jordan, Dana Trujillo, Javier Dominguez, Raymon Cutter, Ruben Dominguez, and Jarod Dominguez. Honorary pall bearers are the rest of his nieces/nephews and godchildren.
