Ramon Barela (Pino)

Ramon Barela (Pino) passed away in Warner Springs, California on April 12, 2024.  He was born in Santa Fe on August 30, 1953 and lived in Southern California  the last twenty-seven years of his life.  

He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Viola Barela, his daughter Tovah, son Manuel, Grandson Miklo, his brother Tommy Barela, and a special Uncle, Tom C de Baca.

He is survived by his loving wife Patty, his son Paul Quintana (Jazmine), his stepson Michael Lara and his mom Cyndy Lara, Grandchildren Montes, Nikko, Carlos, Milyah, and Great-granddaughter Kyara.  He is also survived by his brothers John Barela (Vickie), Richard Barela (Yolanda), and sister Mary Ellen Gonzales (Rick).  He also had many nieces/nephews, relatives, and many friends. 

A memorial service will be held to honor Ramon at Rivera’s Funeral Services, 417 E. Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico on June 1, 2024 at 9 am. Ashes will then be taken for a short service to his cousin Randy Sena’s property in Ocate near Mora for those who can join the family in making the trip up to Randy’s property.
