Priscilla V. Leal age 77, a resident of Albuquerque and a resident of New Mexico for 77 years, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Priscilla was born to Cristobal and Victoriana Velarde on October 5, 1937 in Velarde, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adolfo Leal and son, Adolfo Leal Jr.; her brother, Jerry Velarde and numerous nephews and nieces, and other relatives. She is survived by her children Bernadette Leal-Jaramillo and her children Adelaida and Sara Jaramillo; Mercedes Leal-Dominguez of Austin, Texas; Victoriana Jaramillo and partner, Daniel Mullen and her daughter Isabella Jaramillo; Adelaida Leal; Patricia Leal; Rito Ybarra and partner, Veronica Alvarez and his children Antoinette Ybarra, Rito Ybarra Jr., Reyes Ybarra, and Vincent Peralta and Chris Ybarra and partner, Leandra Dominguez. She is survived by her brother, Chris Velarde of Velarde; sisters, Lenore and Alex Naranjo of La Mesilla; Theresa and Joe Almeida; and Shirley Martinez of Albuquerque; Lula Valdez and Jovita Velarde Casilla of Velarde, Robert Leal of Glendale, AZ; Dora Leal of San Jose, CA; Cathy and Albert Garcia of Stockton, CA.; brother-in-law, Joe Martinez of Velarde and her beloved pets Rusty and Smokey. Funeral Services for Priscilla V. Leal are scheduled as follows: A rosary was recited on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Rivera Family Funeral Home & Crematory (formerly Block-Salazar Mortuary) 305 Calle Salazar, Espanola, NM., 87532 (505) 753-2288. A Funeral Mass took place on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. Interment followed at the Velarde Catholic Cemetery. Assisting the family as pallbearers were, Rito and Chris Ybarra, Jerry Velarde, Danny Velarde, George Valdez and Hilario Baca. Honorary pallbearers were, Rito Ybarra Jr., Chris Velarde, Robert Leal, Joe Martinez, Daniel Mullen, Donovan Pacheco, Alan Laughlin and Reyes Ybarra.
