Paul Maestas

Paul A. Maestas, 46, Lifelong resident of Alcalde, was born on April 3, 1970 to Juan and Olivia Maestas. Paul passed away December 9, 2016. Paul loved hunting, fishing and being with his wife and kids, whom he loved dearly. Paul is preceded in death by his father Juan A. Maestas. Nephews Ethan Narvaiz, Marcos Martinez, Jason Johnson and Michael De Vargas and brother Leonard Maestas. Paul is survived by his wife of 23 years Lydia, his children Marissa, Krista and Ray, and Paul all of Alcalde. His mother Olivia, brothers Leroy and Sara Vialpando and family, Danny and children Princess, John and Edwina Maestas, sisters Rosie Trujillo and sons David and Danny Archuleta. Atocha Maestas and children Jerald and Jackie Byers. Dolores Johnson, Sylvia Maestas and children Donna Martinez and Eddie. Phyllis and Conrad Sandoval children Jose and Stephanie Moya and Monique and Loren Sandoval. Sister-in-law Terry Coronado children Amos and Petra, Enrique, Estevan and Kayla Maestas. Sister-in-law Louann De Vargas children Michelle and Matthew Sena, Marcella and Rich Galano, Brother-in -law Delbert and Betty De Vargas Children Marina and Manny, sister-in-law Patsy De Vargas Children Angie and Manuel Medina and Adam, Darlene and Glenn Miller son Sam, Dolores and Roy Schoonover, Myra and Carey Trujillo children Jude and Amber, Brother-in-law Mateo and Victoria De Vargas Children Devin and Jacob. Also, his God children Lailah, Isaac, and Mariah. Great nieces and Nephews that were close to his heart, Diego De Vargas, Olivia and Amos Maestas, and Jennie Narvaiz. Paul is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Serving honorary pallbearers Livi and Amos Maestas. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Christus St. Vincent’s Regional Medical Center for all their care and compassion through this difficult time; as well as all his friends and family that visited him in the hospital throughout the years. Services for Paul will be Friday December 16, 2016 at 10:00 am at Valley View United Methodist Church
