Orlando David Quintana

Orlando David Quintana, a Taos native, was born July 11, 1947. He strongly believed in the omnipotence of the Almighty and found peace in the gift of nature and took every opportunity to surround himself within it. In his younger years trips to the Rio Grand and the surrounding mountains would influence his constant seeking out of nature everywhere he went throughout his life. David completed his education as a civil engineer and practiced in various states before returning home to New Mexico. New Mexico was home where family was always abundant. With every budding generation he hoped to encourage finding harmony in life. David passed away peacefully in his home December 28,2025 after the morning sun beckoned him into the lords embrace. He is survived by his children Francisco Sifuentes Quintana (Maribel) and Marisol Sifuentes Quintana; his grand children, Andres Quintana Padilla and Malaquias Quintana Gachupin; and his brother Steve Quintana. He is preceded in death by his parents Cristobal and Adelina Esquibel Quintana.

Services will be held as follows: A Rosary will take place on January 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Taos in Taos, NM, followed by another Rosary on January 16, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Santa Maria De La Paz Catholic Church in Santa Fe, NM. This will be followed by a Mass at the church, commencing at 10:00 AM.
