Orlando Chavez

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catalina Chavez, father, Orlando Chavez Sr., nephew, Christopher Chavez, daughter, Yvonne Magdelena-Chavez, nephew, Rudy Gallegos, In-Laws, Andres Alejandro Torrez, Maria Magdalena Montoya-Torrez, Becky Cardenas, Juan Torrez, Joel Torrez, Jessie Torrez, and Alejandro (Hondo) Torrez.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Chavez, daughters, Tammie Trujillo-Ray, Amie Chavez, sisters, Gloria Small, Angel Chavez, grandchildren, Renee Chavez-Estevan, Rayonna McKale-Matthew, Joshua Trujillo-Alexandria, Giovona Trujillo, Renika Tafoya, Angelo Tafoya, great grandkids, Jake and Kevin McKale, Jazelle Trujillo, and Beloved Trujillo. He is also survived by his in-laws, Pauline/Anthony, James Torrez/Joanna, Veronica/Raymond, Nadine/Roger, Cathy/Melchor, Jackie Torrez, Alexandria/Edward, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Orlando Chavez, born on October 11, 1956, passed away on May 28, 2025. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret Chavez, who stood by his side through many years. Orlando Chavez Jr. holds a special place in the hearts of those who remember him. The legacy of Orlando lives on in the love and memories shared by all who knew him. He left an indelible mark in the lives of his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery at 500 W. Roosevelt Ave. Grants, NM, 87020 on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00 am.
