He attended St. Michael's High School in Santa Fe, where he developed lifelong friendships and a strong foundation that guided him throughout his life. He graduated with distinction from the University of New Mexico, earning a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. As a civil engineer and owner of his own engineering firm, Mike devoted his career to helping shape and improve the communities of Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico.

Through his vision, expertise, and hard work, he left lasting fingerprints throughout the region in roads, structures, projects, and developments that continue to serve others today. His contributions included the Arroyo de Los Chamisos Restoration Project, the East Alameda Pedestrian Project, the Jaguar Drive/NM 599 Interchange, and major developments such as Entrada Contenta, Santa Maria De La Paz, Santo Nino Regional Catholic School, Las Campanas, and the College of Santa Fe. Mike took pride in helping nurture the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

Mike was an avid telemark skier and backcountry enthusiast who found great joy in the mountains and the snow. He cherished every opportunity to explore the outdoors and embraced the beauty and adventure nature offered. In addition to his love of skiing, Mike enjoyed spending time on the lake, where he could be found boating, fishing, and camping with family and friends. Whether in the mountains or by the water, he treasured time spent outdoors and the memories made with those he loved.

Above all, Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He could always be counted on for wisdom, encouragement, and a helping hand. His children knew him as a source of strength, guidance, and unwavering support, and his influence will remain with them always. His love, steady presence, and quiet support will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
