Robert A. Lucero, 69, joined our Heavenly Father on June 26, 2026, after a long time medical struggle. He passed away in his sleep. He was a devoted brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was born on February 12, 1957, in Spanish Fork, UT to Audoro and Francis Lucero. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Pete Lucero, and aunts and uncles: Delfina Silva (Trinidad), Andrellita Rivera (Ernie) Lorraine Jaramillo (Ernie/Eliberto Archuleta), Hermenia Jaramillo (Phil), Luciano Lucero (Felonice), Melecio Lucero (Thelma), Grace Ruiz, Jessie Guerra (Dora), Elsie Bronk Chuck), Irene Wheeler (Pete), Silvia Aldred (Robert), Nicky Guerra (Pat).
He is survived by his brothers Henry (Nancy), Donald “Tino” (Sidney), Henry's Children: Kaydon (Jaci), Crystal Iacob (Ion) Jennifer Lucero, Lance Lucero (Rosie), Spencer Lucero (Taylor) Brother Donald “Teno” Lucero (Sidney) Children: Constancy Montoya, Marsha Lucero, Edward Lucero (Nicki), Timothy, Francis “Poncho” Lucero.
Robert lived in Santa Fe, NM the last 6 years near his New Mexico family who he thought of his second family: Tio Neto Ruiz, Lenny Lucero (Liz), Cress Archuleta (Gail), Rosanna Rodriguez (Jared, Niko, & Sierra), and Tina Ruiz (Ron, Izaiah & Elijah). and numerous loving grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, as well as many friends and neighbors.
Robert graduated from Bingham High School in Bingham, Utah
Robert worked for National Semiconductor, Omni Electronics, Distributor for Small Businesses (where he traveled acoss the whole United States), County of Santa Fe. 911 operator and he loved his Meals on Wheels job where he was kind and generous with his love and caring.
Robert was full of laughter and happiness. He made everyone feel comfortable everywhere he went. He will be so missed at Family occasions where he loved the laughter and a good party. He was funny and brought joy to the occasion. Music was a large part of his life. He so loved his guitars and playing them. He taught nephews to have that same love and enjoyed teaching them how to play and enjoy music. His also had a love of fast cars (and he owned many). He loved enjoying watching many a sports game with Neto and family.
Robert was known as a very kind, patient, positive, loving person. His wise, compassionate and steady hand will be greatly missed.
