Melissa Kathryn Ortiz age 38 of Santa Fe, NM passed away suddenly on July 10, 2016. She was born November 5, 1977 in Santa Fe, NM to Donelia K. Lovato and Hector Ortiz, Sr. Melissa is preceded in death by her grandfather Edward Lovato Sr., grandmother Ricarda Ortiz, uncle Bennie Lovato Sr., cousin Michael Lovato and niece Sarah Lovato and Baby Isaac. She is survived by her mother Donelia K. Lovato, father Hector Ortiz, Sr., longtime companion and father of her children James Garcia, children James Jr., Daniel, Mariah, and Alexah (Lexi) Garcia, grandmother Isabel Lovato, sisters Edwina and Christina, brother Hector Jr., nieces Danessa Martinez, Davina Ortiz, April Ortiz, Angelica, nephews Dominic Ortiz, Jacob Ortiz and Santiago Ortiz, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a very dedicated, devoted mother in all of her children’s school activities and needs. She was the best mother any child could ever ask for. Her motto was her children always come first. She also enjoyed her work in the schools. She will be dearly and greatly missed by her family and friends. There will never ever be another Melissa. You will be in our hearts and thoughts and prayers. Our Beautiful Angel Looking down upon us. We love you and will be greatly missed. She will also be truly missed by her awesome pet Baby Girl. Services will be at Temple Baptist Church on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A private family viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. We will all see you very soon. You are now at peace and resting in Jesus’ Arms. Give Susie and the rest a big kiss for me. We all love you so very much. Our family will all be linked up back together again soon. My beautiful daughter Melissa you will be greatly missed and you have made me very proud of you. Love you forever; see you in heaven when he calls us all home. Give my pets kisses for me.
