Melissa Martinez

Melissa Martinez, 54, of Nambe, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022 to be with our Heavenly Father.  Melissa was preceded in death by her loving son Nikki Valdez; Brother Joseph Valdez, and Grandparents Joe and Tive Valdez. Melissa was born on May 18, 1967 in Espanola, NM. She was a retiree of 30 years from Los Alamos National Laboratory. Her most cherished treasure in life was her son only son Nikki. Melissa was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was full of life and will always be remembered as a loving and giving person with a beautiful soul. Melissa is survived by her loving companion of 13 years, Tony Herrera; Parents Molly and Pete Valdez; Sisters Emily Martinez(David), Sharon Wach (Chad); Nephew DJ Jaramillo; Nieces Madison Wach, Monica Valdez, Andrea Suazo, and Trisha Valdez (Kenneth); Special Aunts Lillian Brooks and Vivian Martinez, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Mass and a rosary be recited on March 18, 2022 at the Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Church in Nambe at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Pojoaque.
