Melinda Loy, born on June 7, 1987, passed away peacefully at her home on April 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Melinda held close the values of family, love, and resilience that shaped who she was. She created a home filled with warmth and compassion, where those around her always felt welcomed and cared for.
Melinda’s family was always her greatest priority. She is survived by her beloved soulmate, Frankie Dixon—their relationship was truly one of a kind. Together from a young age, they faced life’s challenges side by side, overcoming every obstacle with strength and devotion. Their life together was built on love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to family.
Melinda was a talented hairstylist by trade, but her profession never defined her. While she took pride in her work and excelled at it, her heart always led her back to what mattered most—her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kelly Loy; her grandparents, Robert and Shirley Grace; her in-laws, Manuel Ricky Dixon and Darlene Archuleta; her brother-in-law, Ricky Dixon; and her sister-in-law, Erica Sonya Dixon.
Melinda is survived by her beloved soulmate, Frankie Dixon, and their children: Franchesca (Isaiah), Sean, Dominic, Jaliyah, Damien, Trinity, and Diamond. She also leaves behind Janae Godina, who was like a daughter to her. As well as her three grandsons whom she adored. She is also survived by her father, Michael Loy Sr. (Rita); her stepfather, Todd Rodencal; her brothers, Michael Loy Jr. and Matthew Loy; her stepbrothers, Daniel, Brandon, and Anthony Turissini; and her childhood best friend, Chanelle Banks. Melinda is also lovingly remembered by her many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Melinda will be remembered for her unwavering love, her quiet strength, and the deep devotion she had for her family. She gave of herself selflessly and completely, always putting those she loved before anything else, and her presence brought comfort, guidance, and warmth to everyone around her.
Her family will miss her more than words can express and will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Though she is no longer with them, her spirit and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all those she leaves behind—a lasting reminder of the remarkable woman she was.
