Matthew Ruiz

Matthew Ruiz was born April 7, 1996 in El Paso, TX to Nydia Ortega and Conrado Ruiz. He was raised and resided in Alcalde, NM. Matt passed away Saturday March 8th.

Matthew is preceded in death by Great Grandmother Maria De Jesus Gonzales and Grandmother Maria Tomasa Duran. 

Matthew is survived by his son Alfonso Ruiz and his mother Luisa and daughter Zenobia Atencio of Espanola, NM, his mother Nydia and Stephen Ortega, his father Conrado Ruiz and family. His brothers Ricardo Renteria, Joshua Ruiz, Issac Ruiz, Gabriel Rivas. His nephews Dominic, Steven, Cypress, Sydd. His niece Lynnae.

Matthew was the baby of our family and was loved and cherished by everyone. He was a devoted Father, beloved brother, amazing son and a great friend with an wonderful smile.

Matthew's family and friends are invited to join us in reminiscing and celebrating his life. Services will be held March 24th, 2025, with a Rosary at 10:30am and a Mass at 11am at Holy Cross Santa Cruz de Cañada with burial to follow.
Family will serve food at Espanola Senior Center at 2:30pm.
