Mary Jo Rodriguez

Mary Jo Rodriguez, 64, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2026. Leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in Santa Fe, NM, on June 1, 1961 to Esther M. Martinez (Mares) and Frank L. Martinez. Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Esther, her brother Leonard, her sister Carmen, her nephews Chris and Rick, and her mother-in-law Marquita Rodriguez, who she will meet again in Heaven. She is survived by her husband Anthony Rodriguez, daughter Stephanie (Jonathan) Castro, sons Adam (Shannon) and Alex (Annie), her siblings, Christine (Steve), Esther, Edward, Geraldine (Lawrence), and Frank. She was deeply loved by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Mary Jo was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and great friend. She worked for Labcorp for 34 years. She dedicated her life to family, known for her laughter, jokes and making people feel loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Services will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe on Thursday, January 29, 2026. A rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. with mass following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rodriguez family at https://gofund.me/4019ca6d5 would be greatly appreciated.
