Mary Ann Borrego

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Mary Ann Borrego passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026 at the age of 81.

Mary Ann was born on July 7, 1944 in Santa Fe, NM to Nellie Gomez. She was raised in Santa Fe and worked at JC Penney and later worked for the State of NM Taxation Department, which she retired from. She was an amazing and devoted mother, wife, and daughter. She was an excellent cook, loved to sing and dance, enjoyed spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, her sister, and all of her family. Mary Ann was very strong but very tender. She had a big heart and generous spirit; always thinking of others and always there for her family. She will be sorely missed and never forgotten by her family and all who knew her.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Gomez. Mary Ann is survived by her husband Robert Borrego, her children, Louis Borrego, Marice Leyba (Paul), Stephanie Anderson, her grandchildren, Lorenzo, Paul, Antonio, Kaela, Arianna, and Isabella, her sister Virginia Quintana (Ray) and many beloved family members.

Services for Mary Ann are as follows: Rosary at 10:30 am on May 18th, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fe NM. Mass will follow at 11 am. Interment to follow at 12:30pm at Rivera Family Funeral home in Santa Fe, NM.
