Mark Anthony Sanchez, born November 18, 1972 to Marcia Sanchez and Praxedes (Prexy) Sanchez ( Jan. 23, 2011) passed away on August 11, 2025. He is joined with his father and brothers John (Dec. 16, 1965), Anthony R. (Jan. 3, 1962), and Andy (Apr. 8, 1952).
He is survived by the mother of his children in Sartell, MN (Anne Callan and their children Bryan Sanchez (Hailey and daughter Mavis Lynn) and daughter Gabby Sanchez. Most recently he became a grandfather to his first grandchild Mavis Lynn (parents Bryan and Hailey).
He is survived by sisters: Liz Cale (Don), Miquela Sanchez, Theresa Delgado (Terrence), Charlene Sanchez, Marlene Montoya (Anthony) and brother Mike. Numerous nieces: Vanessa Marquez (Alex), Jennifer Arreola (Pablo), Shannon Younus (Basim), Valerie Montoya (Joe), nephews Andrew Sanchez and Brian Sanchez. Uncles David Quintana and Buddy Roybal (Irene). Glenda Quintana and numerous cousins. His best friend was Mike Ortiz (Marcella) of Santa Fe.
Mark attended St. Michael’s School in Santa Fe and was a star football and basketball player. He attended St. John’s College in Minneapolis, MN. He excelled in the Information Technology (IT) arena in Santa Fe, San Diego, CA and Las Vegas, NV. No hacker could get past him at his employer. Mark was intelligent, computer and code saavy. He was known by many to be an over-achiever. He tried and lived with every fiber of his being, and tried to make amends during his last months. He had a big heart and wanted to be recognized and loved during his life, he wanted to come home. Since COVID, he cared for his mother Marcia, moving back to Santa Fe.
The immediate Sanchez Family wishes to thank the numerous physicians, nurses, and wound-care specialists in Las Vegas, NV and in Santa Fe for their care and patience they exhibited. Special love and thanks to Jennifer Arreola (niece) for her help with the medical health care system assistance and compassion she had for her uncle. Special thanks to Andrew Sanchez for his companionship during the last weeks of his life and bringing him home safely back to Santa Fe, and his brother Mike for his unwaivering love and care.
