Margaret "Pearl" VanDeWater, Age 74 passed away on May 13, 2016 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She born in Manhattan, New York on January 27, 1942.
During her earth-bound time, Pearl highly appreciated Butterflies and her favorite color was Turquoise. Pearl loved chocolate, reading and prophesying. For several years she took care of young people by working as a school bus driver for a private school. She became a Christian in 1974 and led her son to faith in Jesus in 1975. She was a highly gifted Soprano singer who was once offered a position with the Robert Shaw Chorale. She had always wanted to live in the American Southwest and fulfilled that dream in 2008. The last years on earth seem to have been those in which she was most at peace and in which she was happiest and more when she felt well enough to use her gift of song to bless God and to bless those around her. For this, many in her family, friends and others are indeed grateful.
She is survived by three children, a son Van, two daughters, Susan and Nancy and three grandsons. Also, survived by a dear friend, Debbi Padilla, her church family and many other friends. A memorial service honoring and celebrating Pearls' life will be held at Fruit of the Spirit Church in Santa Fe this Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 1PM, 3382 Lopez Lane, Santa Fe, NM 87507
