Margaret Payne

Margaret D. Payne went to be with the angels on 2/15/2026. She passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband-Leroy Payne & son-Joey Payne, parents-Jose & Catherine Martinez, brother-Frank Martinez, sister-Mary (Tiny) Gormly.

She is survived by her 9 children, Lorie Herrera (Joe), Judy Korge (Rick), Trudy Dean (Aaron), Julie Medina (Dino), James Payne (Marian), Kelly Coriz (Robert), Tracy Dotson (Rick Padilla), Doug Payne (Sandra) & Darren Payne

She was the 3rd child of 6 siblings. She was the heart of our family, a woman of grace, strength and unwavering love. Her smile could light up the room and make someone's day brighter. She had a great sense of humor and loved to sing. She loved wholeheartedly and was always a kind soul. She put the needs of others above her own. She was a very proud Nana who cherished her many grandchildren and great grandchildren!

A Mass will be held at The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe on March 13, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at approximately 12:30 P.M.
