Manuelita "Manny" Chavez

Manuelita Manny Chavez, 92, of Ranchos de Taos passed away surrounded by her family on April 15, 2015. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, George Jorge Chavez, parents, Jesus and Feloniz Martinez, infant sister, Dolores Martinez, granddaughter, Maria Christina Valdez, grandsons, George Paul Salazar, Blas E. Duran, son in-law, Richard Valdez, brothers and sisters, Tillie Romero, Teofila Trujillo, Felix Martinez, Dolores Herrera, Benito Martinez and George Martinez. She is survived by her children, Cecelia Valdez, Loretta DeHerrera, Sarah Salazar (Orlando), Sylvia Martinez (Paul), Lupe Anaya (Mike), Cruz O. Chavez (Elma), Lucaria Chavez (Tomas) Christobal Chavez (Mary Lou), Carmella J. Chavez-Villafranca, Bettina Pacheco (Manuel), Francisca Chavez, 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild, sister, Betty Martinez (Roy), brother, Tomas Martinez, brother in-law, Eli Herrera, many other relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on April 19, 2015. Funeral mass was held on April 20, 2015. Both were held at San Francisco de Asis Church with interment following at the Los Alamitos Cemetery in Los Cordovas.
