Luisa Suzanna Martinez

Luisa Suzanna Martinez also known as Lou, Born August 24, 1938, passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 87. Resident of Santa Fe, NM.

Services will be held on October 16, 2025, at Saint John’s Catholic Church 1301 Osage AVE, Santa Fe, NM 87505. Rosary at 10am following the mass at 11am. Burial Services at the National Guard cemetery 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501 at 12:30pm.

Luisa was married to Fred Martinez, her three children, Christopher who pre-seeded her in death and Steven Martinez and Roberta Martinez, grandchildren, Destiny Montoya husband Joshua Montoya, Shantel Martinez-Deets husband Brian Deets and Alyssa Sandoval partner Jocobo. She had seven great grandchildren that she loved and adored Joshua Jr, Aaliyah, Aria, Kaylee, Avy, Liberty, and Aluzio.

Luisa was known for her kindness, deep love for her family and roots and her cooking (let's not forget her love for Chile).

She took pride in how much she loved and cared for her family. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother giving her all into her family. The love and support she gave to her family made her who she was. She was the glue that held all of them together.

She loved to tell stories about her days growing up in Taos New Mexico with her many siblings and her parents. She was proud of where she came from and how she was raised.

Luisa will be strongly missed by her family. We know that she is watching over us to give us comfort like she did many times before.
