Louis G Silva

Louis Guadalupe Silva, Sr, 90, of Santa Fe, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 12, 1925 in Watrous, New Mexico, the son of Roman and Adela Ortiz Silva. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Anthony Roman Silva. Mr. Silva worked for many years as a Shop Foreman at the New Mexico State Penitentiary and P.N.M. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lucy Silva; his children, Louis Silva Jr, Barbara Padilla (Alfred), Dianne Martinez, Janette Silva (Calvin), Sharon Chavez (Mike), and Sonya Carrillo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and his brother Floyd Silva Sr. and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday March 31, 2016 at 6:00p.m. at Rivera’s Kiva Chapel of Light. A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday April 1st, 2016 at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
