Lorraine Duran, a beloved figure in her family and community, was born on July 20, 1948, in Santa Fe, NM. She departed from this world peacefully on January 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine will be cherished and remembered for her nurturing spirit and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.

Lorraine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, devoted to ensuring that everyone felt cared for and included. She was known for making the best menudo, a dish that brought family and friends together at countless gatherings. Her passion for cooking extended beyond the kitchen; she was a remarkable caregiver, always making sure that everyone had a hot meal to enjoy.

In addition to her culinary talents, Lorraine was an ardent supporter of the San Francisco 49ers, showcasing her spirit and enthusiasm for her favorite team. Her playful rivalries and spirited conversations about football will be missed by all who shared in that passion with her. She also enjoyed her Spanish music on Saturday mornings on 89.1 KANW, and her Oldies music that she enjoyed with her husband.

Lorraine's family includes her adoring daughters, Michelle Duran and Andrea Sisneros, her supportive sons-in-law, Michael Sisneros and Anthony Baldonado, and her cherished grandchildren: John Paul Sisneros and his wife Michelle, Marina Sisneros and her husband Angel, Gina Baldonado and her husband Gilbert, Ariana Baldonado, and Antonio Baldonado. Great-grandchildren Xzayvian, Myla, Johnny, LaRae, Ezekiel, Roman, Geno, Alessio, Kamille and Samara brought Lorraine immense joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She had a special bond with her brother Orlando Garcia and her brother Ike Garcia, along with her devoted caretaker and friend Mary Rodriquez, who provided her with unwavering support and companionship. Lorraine's God-son, Gerald Garcia, and comadre Arlene Sisneros and Rosa held a special place in her heart.

Lorraine grieved the loss of her husband of 44 years Alfonso Duran, her daughter Doreen Duran, father-in-law Luis Duran, and numerous other family members,  she leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that continues to inspire her family.

As we gather to celebrate Lorraine's life, we remember her laughter, her kindness, and her ability to make each person feel special. Her memory will live on, not just in the stories we tell, but in the way we carry her spirit within our hearts. She leaves an indelible mark on our lives, and her presence will be profoundly missed. Rest in peace, dear Lorraine.
