We are saddened and with heavy hearts as we announce the passing of our beloved Lisa Gaye Bransford, a resident of Eldorado in Santa Fe, NM, on April 4, 2026, due to a tragic car accident. She was born in Germany while her father was serving in the military and raised in Pennsylvania. Lisa was a loving wife and devoted caregiver.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Henry; her half-sister, Carol Adams; her brother-in-law, Carlos Bransford; her sisters-in-law, Patricia Martinez and husband Wilfred, Esther Martinez and husband Mike, Bobbi Mags and husband Steve, Henrietta Quintana and husband Tony, Josephine Lucero, Carmela Bransford, Olivia Bransford, and Theresa Bransford; as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and her beloved dogs, Bella and Luna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Neal Adams; her father-and mother-in-law, John and Mary Bransford; her brothers-in-law, Manuel Lucero and Frank Bransford; and her nephews, Michael Martinez and Ricardo Martinez.
Lisa touched many lives with her kindness, humor, and generosity. She was especially known for her famous chocolate chip cookies, which she brought to every family gathering. She loved animals and the beauty of nature, enjoying Indian Pow Wows in Albuquerque, exploring Jemez Springs, visiting the Dixon Studio Tour, and attending the Eagle Count in Abiquiú. She also enjoyed hiking, listening to country music, collecting antiques and knickknacks, watching movies, and especially cooking and caring for her beloved Henry.
Though her passing came unexpectedly, the memories Lisa leaves behind are a lasting comfort to those who mourn her and a reminder to cherish every moment. She will forever remain in our hearts and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:00 am. A reception will be held following mass at the parish hall.
In honor of Lisa’s memory, a GoFundMe has been created to assist Henry and the family with funeral expenses and unexpected costs during this difficult time. Those who would like to support may donate or share the fundraiser, and the family is deeply grateful for the kindness, prayers, and generosity shown.
