Leroy Joseph Vigil

LeRoy Joseph Vigil, age 56 a resident of Cundiyo, NM passed away on Wednesday, June 22. He was born on August 26, 1959 in Espanola, NM to Felix F. Vigil and to Trinidad A. Vigil. In addition to LeRoy’s love of cooking, hunting, landscaping, drawing , caring for others and love of his entire family, he also worked for the Los Alamos National Laboratories and served honorably for 6 years in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his father, Felix F. Vigil of Cundiyo, NM. He is survived by his mother, Trinidad A. Vigil of Cundiyo, NM, sisters; Lucille Garcia and husband Michael of Santa Cruz, NM, JoAnn Sandoval and husband Leroy of Truchas, NM, brother James Vigil of Cundiyo, sister Terry Chacon and husband Carlos of Espanola, NM, brother Felix D. Vigil and friend Monica of Cundiyo, NM, nieces and nephews; Rebecca Trujillo and her husband Jesse and son Mateo, Gabriel Garcia and his wife Sachel, Anthony Vigil and his two children, Damien and Anjelika, Claudia and Amanda Chacon and Brittani and Leandro Vigil. Public visitation will be held this Sunday, June 26, 2016 beginning at 5PM at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola followed by a Rosary that will be prayed at 6PM. The Christian Rite of Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, NM. LeRoy will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
