Leah Ann Hauser (Samuelson), a lifelong artist, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was 83 years old.
Born June 15, 1943, in Denver, Colorado, Leah developed her deep passion for creative expression from an early age. Throughout her life, she created art through multiple media, especially painting and photography. Her keen eye for beauty and texture was reflected not only in her work, but in the way she engaged with the world around her.
Leah was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Charles Edward Hauser. Together, Leah and Charles built a life rich in adventure, culture, and community. They traveled the world, supported the arts, and were active participants in the local community. Leah’s warmth, humor, and generosity earned her strong, lifelong friendships.
She is survived by her children, daughter Laura Megan Elisabeth Hauser, and son Daniel Hauser and his wife, Michelle Barnard-Hauser. Leah also leaves behind her granddaughter, Abigail Mackenzie Hauser.
Leah’s creative legacy, presence, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
