It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved mother, Laura Jean (Sandoval) Carney at age 81. Her multiple myeloma cancer recently returned after being in remission for over 5 years. She'd completed 3 rounds of chemo in July but developed double pneumonia in August from her immune system becoming compromised from chemo treatment. She spent the last 2 months in the hospital trying to recuperate and soon developed Muscular Dystrophy complications with swallowing which hindered her being able to eat. Her body was tired, she was in pain and she said her goodbyes to family and said her final goodnight to us October 2nd at 7:23pm with her daughter and 2 grandchildren at her side.

She was a loving wife to Herbert Carney, a committed mother to two children (Carolyn & Ryan), a cherished grandmother to two grandchildren (Tyler & Nathan), and a beautiful presence in the lives of everyone who knew her. Her love, strength, kindness, and memories will remain with us always.

While our hearts are broken by this loss, we are grateful for the many years, memories, and moments we were blessed to share with her.
